Looking for a healthier treat than regular candy? Well what about these little date truffles?! They take no time to make and they taste like heaven!
1 cup raw almonds or walnuts
20 large (Medjool) dates, pitted
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
2 tbsp agave nectar
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp salt
Cocoa powder, for rolling
Grind nuts in a food processor until fine. Add dates, cocoa powder, agave nectar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt, and process until mixture forms a ball. If mixture doesn’t stick together, add more agave nectar.
Form about 25 balls out of mixture. Roll in cocoa powder or keep them as they are.
They store well in the fridge or freezer.
